On 17th July, four members of Excel Dreamworks i.e. Alhad, Suchit,Ronak and Neelam presented a seminar on the topic Communication Systems in Smt. Shardaben Champaklal Nanavati Institute Of Polytechnic,Matunga. Mr. Mustafa Bengali, H.O.D. Of I.D.D. gave us the highest ratings for our presentation. He was quite satisfied and mentioned that the seminar was creative and highly informative. Jayashree Madam who is a lecturer felt that the seminar was excellent and quite professional. Mrs. Madhavi Baxi who is an ex-visiting faculty also said that the seminar was par beyond excellence. That proves us once again victorious!!!!

B.Sc.I.T. students win the First Prize at an Intercollegiate Exhibition On 25th of January their B.Sc.I.T.Department held an Intercollegiate Project Exhibition at Nagindas Khandwala College. This was the part of their festival called ZESTY. Many colleges from all over Maharashtra had participated. The students of Thakur College of Science and Commerce from the B.Sc.I.T. Department won the First Prize in Hardware Technologies category. The name of their project was Computerized Control Interface with Electrical appliance. Using this project one can control all their Electrical / Electronic appliance by just pressing the keys on the computer. You can not only switch On or Off your devices but also regulate the voltage.

The name of the students who participated in the project is as follows:

1) Mr. Alhad Kunwadekar – Project Leader

2) Mr. Niraj Prabhu – Hardware Designer

3) Mr. Pradeep D’Souza – Software Designer

As a part of the prize, the awards given to them were:

1) IBM Via Voice Software with Headsets

2) Photo frame

3) Computer Dust Covers

Certificates would be couriered to the college soon.
